Naruto art: Kakashi vs. Sakura

torch asked for Kakashi and Sakura in each other's clothes, so I drew... uh.... something else entirely. In my defense, the original sketch of Kakashi in this pose was wearing Sakura's stuff, but the picture seemed to have moved beyond that. Basically, I discovered a reference site called Bodies in Motion, and I am super happy.

Also, a long time ago I told torch that if she wrote Naruto fic, I would draw her pictures. So, all I'm saying here is my word is good.

Besides, while I don't really care if you ever write any Naruto fic, I did want to mention that I am still ready and willing to apply visual bribery. And I am endlessly delighted that you seem to have fallen for the characters -- how does Naruto have so many GOOD ONES?! XD On that note -- I did recently discover that you have technically written a Naruto fic. I guess I should be glad that you didn't come knocking asking for Gai/Iruka art -- Well, actually, gimme a sec.

I think Iruka and Guy would be adorable! You know, just in general. :) I do aim to finish that terribly long, or possibly long and terrible, Kakashi/Iruka story. I just keep getting sidetracked! Sometimes by shorter Kakashi/Iruka stories that aren't finished either.

I would never say no to cheerleading. :) Also, I just opened the file for some preliminary glaring. (I'm stuck at the first possibility of a sex scene. This is really not a surprise.)

Hmm, I may not be able to help you there. Evidence suggests that when faced with sex scenes, I draw fully-clothed chibis. BUT I AM ALL FOR PRELIMINARY GLARING. ALSO FOR SHORTER SIDETRACK FICS! RAH RAH RAH.

And thank you. I enjoy making the presents too, so whether or not you ever make it past the fade-to-black, I'm still glad I drew them. :)

Also, having read that Guy/Iruka snippet, I totally believe you on that front. I love Guy, and I love that in canon no matter how over the top he gets, he is -- and everybody knows he is -- the only person in Konoha who can match Kakashi. Also they have hung out together for a long time and respect each other as badasses! Aww. There are few things that make me happier in fic than a nod to a strong friendship between Gai and Kakashi (really, he is the only one weird enough to handle it).

Yeah, I kind of noticed that. :) Yes -- I love that Guy as Kakashi's best friend gives you a whole new perspective on Kakashi's weirdness, and vice versa. They're totally funky, but solid. I even felt quite forgiving towards the filler season when they decided to do an ep about Guy and Kakashi, even though it was, well. (Filler season = torch waving arms in the air, saying "omg bring on the war!")

Yes, this! You said it perfectly. I would read so many stories. XD (Ok, and NOW I will say something about Iruka.)

I think Iruka does something similar -- though less delightfully wacky and perspective-shifting. I love that he is a 9 to 5 ninja with an unglamorous job and none of the celebrity status. He's such a fantastic counterpoint to the infamous war heroes and also a hotbed for world-building day-to-day ninja life. It sounds silly, but I find stories that want desperately to build Iruka up as "Well, he could have been a jounin if he wanted to", etc, to be boring -- I'm shaking my fist at the screen, going, "What! Come on! Tell me more about his paperwork, god damn it!"

Yes, this! I don't really want Iruka to be Sekritly Super Cool, I think he's not-so-sekritly cool as he is, and obviously very competent at what he does. (That's attractive in anyone, really, not just adorable and hot-tempered ninjas.)

Haha, yes! I admit, I also love that he yells. I love characters who can't help being themselves, which is very, very Iruka. XD
