Treehouse Reversebang: HOCKEY RPF

Treehouse ReverseBang: HOCKEY RPF – Sid/Geno

My favorite things: MAKING PROMPTS and DRAWING STUFF. Here is my proposal:

The Basic Idea
I’ll draw a Hockey RPF picture just for you with some unanswered questions or, you know, some feels, and you’ll write a yuletide-length-ish story to the picture. No one else will see the picture until your story is finished and posted.

Here are some of the previous prompts I’ve drawn: Finished Treehouse Reversebang

A note on deadlines
My promise is that I will have all pictures done by 4th of July. Please choose a reasonable deadline for yourself. I learned from the last two Treehouse Reversebangs that people prioritize projects with deadlines (jeez, guys, way to torture me with anticipation). So – deadlines! If you miss it, I will post the picture publicly and see if anyone else wants to write something for it. And I’ll glare at you.

I will hand over the pictures as I finish them. When you are finished with the story, we post it with embedded art to AO3 and wait for fame and glory.

If you’re interested, please comment to this post with 1) email 2) your deadline (a date or a period of time) 3) a little ramble about you and Hockey RPF – are you in this for Sid, Geno, Sid/Geno, the hockey, etc. 4) Some general likes/dislikes and favorite genres, e.g. AUs, tropes, fictional news coverage, peril, genderswap, Hockey fights, etc. ♥

I think I can draw about 5 pictures. If more people than that would like a prompt, I am going to choose 5 based on a highly subjective mix of: 1) I can totally draw that picture; 2) omg, I’m a huge fan of your fic and deeply biased, sorry, guys, I’m weak; 3) you signed up last time and totally delivered; and 4) I’ve never done a Treehouse with you before, now’s a good time.

(P.S. I am planning to do at least two more of these this summer – one for the Books of the Raksura, and one or more for miscellany including Avengers, Methos crossovers, and Naruto)

ETA: Ok, I have six people, so this Treehouse Reversebang is full. I'll start drawing. :P

I'd love to sign up for a slot if that would be alright.

Anytime August or September will be fine.

I'm probably in it mostly for the crazy hi-jinks the people get the boys into. I mean come on, everything from super-powers to penguined themed tom-foolery

Favorite Tropes are: Coffeeshop, Crack, Superhero, Genderswap, and general AUS

HI ME I WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE.

Email: thefourthvine@gmail.com

Deadline: September 4th

My hockey RPF preferences: I am in this for Sid, Geno, Sid/Geno, AND hockey. It started with Sidney and then expanded through Geno to the Penguins to Mario to - well, to the point where I have EXTREMELY INTENSE feelings about Valeri Kharlamov, icing rules variations, and every goaltender who has ever lived. I don't understand how this happened to me. It's honestly better not to get me started.

Likes/Dislikes/Genres: I write basically one genre: smushy romance with happy endings. (If you draw me a picture of someone weeping over someone else's grave, that's the START of the story for me, is what I'm saying.) I love AUs EXTREMELY MUCH, but in this fandom I have a hard time with ones that don't involve hockey. (So, if you give me a prompt that involves Sid and Geno dressed as knight and squire, that's probably going to turn into a Halloween party or time travel or something.) I really love tropes. Like. Tropes are my jam. I am struggling to think of a trope I don't long to come to grips with and failing. I totally like fictional news coverage and peril. Can't write genderswap to save my life. Hockey fights are good for me! (So are magical duels, for that matter.) I also love robots, dogs, most things supernatural, magic items, and weird or awkward behavior.

...Annnnnd I feel like that might be more information than you bargained for. I AM OPEN, is what I'm saying.

I have been ordered (with very little prodding) by thefourthvine to participate!

1. chibirhm (at) gmail (dot) com
2. August 25 - I'm a very slow writer, but August 25 I leave for my big vacation, so I can promise to get it done before then. Or DIE TRYING. (Probably not die.)
3. SID/GENO. ALLLLL ABOUT THE SID/GENO.
4. I like to write snuggly, domestic things about home and (found) family - first time or established relationship is fine with me. If there's any AU, I prefer close-to-canon AU or a contemporary!AU. Prefer not genderswap, soulbonding (that's what I'm currently writing, so I'm not going to want to write that again), or babyfic (wrote it). Things I do like: food/baking/cooking, small fuzzy animals (I would write like a five things Geno adopted fic super hard), cuddling on couches/in beds/under blankets, cute kisses not on the mouth, basically anything warm and cozy.

Edit: I am also very very very willing to give as much input as you need/talk on GChat. I am willing to talk on GChat all the time.

Well, looking at the competition I'm pretty sure I'l be at the bottom of the list. :-) BUt anyhow:

1. gilafied at gmail dot com
2. I could have something written by July 31.
3. I love boys being dork boys in love, which fits pretty much every hockey character ever. I love Sid, Geno, Sid/Geno and threesomes and group marriages and hockey itself and other pairings and teams and really I love everybody. Except whoever beats my Sharks in the playoffs. Them I will hate until next year.
4. I'll write anything except zombies or apocalyptic storylines. I prefer happy endings, or hopeful ones, and I love established relationship stories, and domestic fluff and angst and I adore pining and "he will never love me, woe is me, oh wait he loves me yay" stories. I tend to write a lot of animal transformation fic, including centaurs and turtles and penguins. I don't feel confident in writing Russian culture, so I would probably not want to write Geno pov. I also don't care for genderswap or 'always a girl' but I do love bodyswap. Whenever I try to write crackfic I end up making it angsty and serious and not silly at all. When I try to write deathfic I end up making it silly and fluffy. I don't even know.

I can also write a good, strong hurt/comfort story, any illness or injury as long as the comfort balances and there is a happy ending (though I include permanent injury as being capable of having a happy ending.)

Or I can turn someone into a walrus.

MAN I HAVE BEEN AWAY TODAY WATCHING HOCKEY! BUT DO I COUNT AS HAVING DIBS FROM THE OTHER POST???????????? (not that i am covetous of a spot or anything.)

1- twentysomething.raccoon@gmail.com
2- basically a month from art receipt, probably less because you know, inspiration.
3- I have a painful amount of feelings about all of those variants- hockey is the first sport I chose to like for myself and I have bored people to death explaining what I love about hockey. Additionally, I have literally wailed face down in a couch because of the plain old fashioned existence of both Sid and/or Geno or them in relation to each other, so.
4- uhhhhhh .... genderswap, college aus, any kind of domestic curtain fic, basically i just want them to be happy and i will destroy anything and everything in the way of that. Earlier today I explained to anyone wo would listen that if Sid didn't win the Ted Lindsay I would set the entire world on fire. I love AUs of all kinds though (as is pretty firmly established by my writing history) and I'll try basically anything once. Other specialities include terrible taste in music, resulting in some pretty awful fic titles.

If you have something you wanna run by me, I answer emails pretty quickly on my phone and I will talk about this until the cows come home and insist that it's late, you're going to throw your schedule off and then you'll never want to wake up in the morning and you'll wonder when you got such responsible cows.

I don't have a preference as to which boy gets hurt and which does the comforting. I think they can both suffer quite nicely!
