The opt in happened longer than three months ago. IIRC they announced in spring that the switch would happen in July but then nothing changed for quite some time, though you could opt in then, and the website reminded you when you logged in. So you should have gotten a mail and seen a reminder. Then in late September they did finally switch and relaunch and delicious became completely unusable. I paid for a pinboard account and am now there.

Oh, ok, that makes a little more sense as to how I missed it. I only log in about once every six months. Thanks for the info. :)
