So marycrawford won my yuletide guessing game (immediately and with no hesitation -- which also happened with my KakaIru fic, so I guess I was predictable this year), and she asked for an illustration from Children of the New Court and gave several options. I chose the scene where Chime is putting jewelry on Moon.


(marycrawford,by the way, wrote a fantastic yuletide fic of her own in another Martha Wells verse:

I love the art, and also I love the story, now that I've finally read it. you can’t just follow strange warriors into dark forests because they say they have something neat to show you made me laugh so hard I nearly hurt myself. :)

I followed over here from MW's journal on a hunch, and and happy that I am not crazy and this *is* a scene from the epic Yuletide Raksura fic you posted, which I adored. It is super adorable, and I think this is the first Chime fanart I have seen.... There needs to be more though - Jade/Moon/Chime is an excellent OT3 :)

I can't WAIT to read that fic!!!!! I finally got Baen to take my money for the last e-book (tried and failed over Christmas), so reading the fic after the new book is like, I dunno, someone giving me a gift card and then finding out it's worth twice face value on Amazon.
