Questions: treehouse reversebang, tumblr, hockey

Some questions
1. Is anyone interested in another Treehouse Reversebang round? What if the fandoms were reduced to Avengers, Hockey RPF, and Books of the Raksura? (Ok, and maybe Naruto. And Methos... crossovers.)


2. Is there some kind of idiots guide to Tumblr fandom? Because I do not understand this strange medium. And how much of fandom is over there? i.e. how hard should I be trying to understand this thing?

Oh yeah, and is there some equivalent of the lj user icon? I like to draw chibi icons, but is there some kind of equivalent in-demand graphic for Tumblr?

3. Is there an idiot's guide to Hockey RPF fandom? I don't mean the pairings I mean... where the fandom is. I am discovering that I am really out of practice at being in a current fandom. *facepalm*

And I would LOVE to draw you a Hockey RPF prompt. I am, well, an awful commenter, even if I try to claim being out of the country is a reason, but I loved, loved, loved both of your 'inverted cliche' stories. Please write a hundred more.

(Now, for my Hockey RPF life to be complete, please convince thehoyden she should also want to do a reversebang. Or well, anyone else who likes writing Sidney and Geno. :P)

I haven't even thought of using Twitter. Are they RPF twitters or non-fannish Hockey stuff?

Both? The people I read are mostly RPF folks, but a lot of people do both - follow a bunch of hockey journalists and hockey players and etc, and also a bunch of fans. (I follow a few hockey journalists, but mostly I just hope other people will alert me to interesting stuff. And they mostly do.)

I probably can't convince thehoyden to do a reversebang, but I will try! I will try to persuade MANY Sid/Geno writers. (To be honest, I'm not entirely sure I can write to a drawn prompt, but I will do my best, anyway.)

Re: more sources for hockey things, following club and player instagram feeds is really enjoyable (for example, the time they put up a picture of Flower and Sid doing rock paper scissors for who had to give the phone interview on NHL Network, and it's two frames in one and you know Sid made Flower do enough rounds so that Tanger is in one pic but NOT THE LATER ONE (AND SID STILL LOST AND HAD TO DO THE INTERVIEW) and other things of that nature)

Haha, yay! I am always so happy and lucky when I realize that people are willing to get into something like this with me. And you are such a lovely writer, I am absolutely willing to have you. :D

I will probably make a post about the Reversebang today or tomorrow. (And I'll ping people who said they were interested if they don't see the post.)

Oh man, that is a lovely freaking detail. I had been kind of thinking I was the RPF fan who avoids the actual people, but clearly I can not do that.

In restrospect, I realized I might have put you on the spot a bit with talk about recruiting. I'm sorry about that. Having just discovered that Hockey fandom is a bit decentralized, it is awesome for me for you to tell even one other Hockey RPF fan. And you already did! Thank you! \o/

Re: depending how worried you are about drawing to a picture, I can show you the sketch before I ink/color to see if that's something you can write to. And regardless, I'll ask you a bit about preferred genres and prompts first. My goal is to create a prompt for the writer, not just for me. :) Anyway, I will post more about it sometime in the next few days.

Not at ALL on the spot. More people who sign up means a) more Sid/Geno ART and b) more Sid/Geno stories! There is no bad here. And it's not like I'm abducting people's pets until they sign up.

(I am not saying I'm always above pet abduction, mind you. I consider that an as-necessary item in the toolkit. I'm just saying I'm choosing not to employ it at this time.)

And woo! I'm looking forward to this. You've never run a Treehouse at the same time as I was actively writing in one of your fandoms, so this will be super exciting.
